Ebb Bayley (they/he) uses fabricated archaeologies to retell stories of transformation. Fragments of folklore are stitched together toward an upending of cautionary tales. Painting is deployed as a type of recounting, finding habitable moments in creaturely bodies. The dissolving forms and static surfaces in the work reflect some conditions of Bayley’s visual disability.
